This is an opportunity to expand your knowledge of full life cycle hardware development, gain direct user exposure, contribute to and support an increasing EV product suite.As a Hardware Design Engineer-Product Support you will make impacts in the following ways:Design, developing and production following of high-power electronics control and propulsion systems used in hybrid and electrical buses, trucks and vessels across the globe.Conduct research, design, development, and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, and electrical components.Design new or modifies existing products, develops technical specifications for production, analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions, and tests hardware conformance to specifications.Industry: Automotive, Buses, Trucks, and VesselsDevelopment Processes: Structured (e.g. DO-178B like), DO-254Development Environment: GIT, JIRA, SynergyOther: Development team is onsite in Endicott, NY.Communication Skills: Motivated Self-Starter/communicator who has the ability to work effectively in a team environmentLeadership Skills: Ability to quickly come up-to-speed and mentor othersRequired Skills:Two or more years of experience with Power Electronics related design and developmentFamiliarity with motor drives, gate drivers, analog circuitry, and magneticsTechnical writing skills: Engineering documentationThese would be a plus:Experience with Full-Lifecycle development, including component-level requirements and design, component and system-level integration, validation and verification.Experience working in a high voltage / high power lab environment.
