Electrical Engineer – Embedded Electronics & Vehicle ControlsWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of advanced electronic control systems, displays, and connected technologies used in commercial vehicles and mobile equipment. This role will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop innovative hardware solutions that improve system performance, reliability, and user experience.The ideal candidate has experience with embedded electronic hardware design, circuit analysis, PCB development, and product validation in a fast-paced product development environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign and document electrical schematics for embedded controllers, displays, and electronic systems utilizing microcontrollers, microprocessors, and application-specific I/OPerform circuit modeling and simulation to evaluate performance, reliability, and design optimizationSupport PCB layout activities and ensure designs meet industry standards and best practicesConduct design verification, validation, and qualification testing to ensure product reliability and safetyCollaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical hardware into complete system solutionsDevelop technical documentation including design specifications, test reports, engineering change documentation, and manufacturing support materialsInvestigate field issues through root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve product performance and reliabilitySupport component lifecycle management and redesign efforts related to product sustainment and obsolescenceStay current on emerging technologies and industry trends related to embedded electronics, vehicle controls, and power managementRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplineExperience designing electronic circuits and embedded hardware systemsExperience with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or similar platformsWorking knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principlesExperience using circuit simulation tools such as SPICE or equivalentHands-on experience with laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and function generatorsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teamsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with power electronics and power conversion circuitsExperience with wireless communication technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or other embedded connectivity solutionsExperience supporting products through the full lifecycle from concept through productionUnderstanding of automotive, transportation, industrial, or mobile equipment electronicsExperience with design validation and regulatory compliance testingSkills & AttributesStrong technical problem-solving capabilitiesSelf-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple prioritiesAbility to estimate effort and manage work to quality, cost, and schedule objectivesComfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholdersContinuous-learning mindset with a passion for developing innovative electronic productsAbility to influence and contribute within cross-functional project teamsThis opportunity is ideal for engineers with backgrounds in embedded electronics, vehicle controls, industrial electronics, automotive electronics, display systems, PCB design, or connected device development.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Hartford, WI.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
