GVRA IT Support SpecialistUnder general supervision, provides management information system user support, either by phone or site visit. Troubleshoots end-user problems. Analyzes and designs software modifications to meet users' needs. May develop and conduct training programs for software/hardware users.Essential Functions:1. Provides customer support in the maintenance of systems.2. Provides ongoing operational and user assistance to address application problems, provide on-call application support and assist users with application operations.3.

Provides technical support in the operation and use of application software systems.4. Communicates with all levels of management and user department personnel to discuss job execution status, requests for reprints, equipment status and related problems that may occur.5. Develops materials and methods to be used in training others in the use of various hardware and software.6. Judgment and Decision MakingRequired Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED AND Six months of education or experience in information security, privacy, system/network administration and support, or application development AND training and experience necessary to independently provide technical support to computer users in an assigned office/geographic area.Preferred Education and Experience:Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the required education and experience, possess one or more of the following:Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
