Job Summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a GTM Planning Performance & Modeling Senior Associate to join the team. The office locations can be found below.

As a Senior Associate within the GTM Operations & Modernization team, you execute and support the quantitative and analytical backbone of GTM planning and performance management. This role focuses on financial modeling, performance measurement, and data-driven insight generation that connects GTM investments, activities, and outcomes to pipeline and revenue impact.

This role serves as a key partner to GTM Planning, GTM Financial Management, and GTM Business Insights teams, ensuring that enterprise GTM priorities are grounded in data, translated into structured insights, and supported through consistent modeling and reporting. You will build and maintain models, dashboards, and analyses that enable visibility into performance, trade-offs, and forward-looking decisions, while also owning the deployment of new models into team workflows, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and continuously improving outputs based on evolving needs and usage.

In addition to supporting core modeling and reporting needs, this role is a core member of the GTM Operations & Modernization team and will take on a rotating portfolio of projects and stakeholder requests as priorities evolve. Expect the role to flex across modeling, dashboarding, performance measurement, structured problem-solving, narrative development, and change management balancing recurring deliverables with project-based work that strengthens GTM's analytical maturity.

You will operate across a global set of GTM, Sales, and Marketing stakeholders, connecting data, analysis, and insights across functions to support a consistent view of GTM performance. In this role, you will:

Responsibilities

  • Develop dashboards and reporting that connect GTM activity to pipeline and revenue outcomes

  • Translate analysis into structured, executive-ready narratives

  • Support cross-functional analytical workstreams and special projects

  • Provide visibility into performance, trends, and trade-offs to inform decision-making

    Your Day-to-Day May Include:

  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting

  • Build and maintain financial and operational models that support GTM planning, forecasting, and investment decisions

  • Execute scenario analyses to evaluate trade-offs across spend, prioritization, and resourcing

  • Support forecasting efforts by integrating inputs from Planning, Financial Management, and business stakeholders

  • Develop models that connect marketing activity, pipeline, and revenue outcomes

  • Maintain and enhance existing models based on evolving requirements and feedback

    Performance Measurement & Dashboarding

  • Develop dashboards that provide visibility into GTM performance across investment areas

  • Support tracking of actuals vs. plan, highlighting variances and key drivers

  • Enable drill-down views and reporting structures that support different stakeholder needs

  • Partner with Business Intelligence and Customer Platform teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across various data sources (e.g., CRM, CMS, ClickUp)

  • Improve reporting structures and outputs to enhance clarity and decision usefulness

    Data Integration & Analytical Structuring

  • Connect data across GTM, Sales, Marketing, and Finance sources into structured analytical outputs

  • Apply consistent definitions, logic, and assumptions across models and reporting

  • Support efforts to unify reporting definitions, structures, and outputs across global platform firms to enable consistent cross-market visibility

  • Translate defined business questions into structured analyses and outputs

  • Identify gaps in data availability or quality and propose practical improvements

  • Support the development of repeatable analytical frameworks and processes

    Executive Reporting & Narrative Development

  • Translate complex analyses into clear, structured narratives that highlight key themes, drivers, and implications

  • Develop executive-ready materials (e.g., slides, summaries, dashboards) that communicate insights effectively

  • Organize outputs into logical storylines to support decision-making discussions

  • Iterate on narratives based on feedback from GTM Planning and leadership to ensure alignment with messaging and priorities

  • Surface options, scenarios, and implications—escalating trade-offs to decision owners

    Decision Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Provide analytical support to GTM Planning and Financial Management to inform key decisions

  • Support evaluation of GTM initiatives, campaigns, and investments through data-driven insights

  • Partner with stakeholders across GTM, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to gather inputs and align outputs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field

  • 2–4 years of experience in analytics, financial modeling, or business operations, with demonstrated experience building models or dashboards (not just maintaining or updating existing outputs)

  • Demonstrated experience building multi-input financial or operational models and conducting scenario analysis to evaluate trade-offs and outcomes

  • Ability to translate loosely defined requirements and ambiguous problems into structured analytical outputs, including models, dashboards, or reporting frameworks

  • Demonstrated ability to iterate, improve, and document models, assumptions, and methodologies so outputs can be maintained and extended by others

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across models and reporting outputs

  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build financial models, conduct scenario analysis, and support dynamic reporting

  • Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to develop dashboards and communicate insights
