QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA preferred, or a willingness to pursue additional training as required by GSRP.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check and TB test.
  • Physical ability to work with young children, including lifting and moving as needed.
  • Must pass ETS Para test
REPORTS TO: Jenna O'Driscoll, Principal
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the GSRP curriculum and daily lesson plans.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support classroom management, including monitoring student behavior and maintaining routines.
  • Prepare and organize classroom materials and activities.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and other staff to address individual student needs.
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Participate in professional development and training sessions as required.
COMPENSATION:
  • Starting pay $16.00. Nine (9) paid holidays. Per RPSPA Agreement
EVALUATION:
  • Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
