EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent; and one of the following:
- Associate's Degree
- Bachelor's Degree
- A valid Center-Based Preschool CDA credential or willingness to acquire
- Assist teacher in the instruction of 4-year-old children of all abilities
- Assist teacher in planning and implementing a healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool children
- Assist teacher in implementing a curriculum that promotes developmental gains toward the attainment of kindergarten readiness skills
- Assist with using assessment data to inform whole-group instruction, small-group, and individual instruction
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress and include them in setting student curricular goals
- Implement Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) in the classroom
- Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date child records
- Work with parents to promote positive parent/child relationships, including family events in the classroom and take-home activities
- Attend professional development opportunities and required trainings
- Take on the lead teacher role during occasional absences
- Assist students with self-care and hygiene needs
- Champion and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Other duties as assigned by administration
