The GSE Mechanic will need to professionally interact with employees and, at times, customers or tenants.
The key duties include:Job Description:Inspect and maintain ground support equipment used in operationsTroubleshoot, repair and/or overhaul ground support equipmentDiagnose problems using applicable manuals and procure parts efficientlyComplete preventative maintenance measures as listed in the PMI ManualKeep PMI Manual updated with schedules of inspections and the details of each under the direction of the Line Service ManagerRegularly wash/wax equipment to maintain pristine appearanceMaintain high level of cleanliness in GSE shop, office and storage areas at all timesMaintains company dress codeComplete GSE paperwork as requiredRoutinely monitor the Fuel Quality Control forms for issues and notate when fixes have been madeMaintain reasonable level of key parts in stockComplete duties assigned in accordance with our IS-BAH standardsFollow safety policies and procedures at all timesComplete projects at the direction of the Line Service ManagerPerform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.1+ years' experience in mechanical repair work.The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., bend routinely and walk and stand throughout the day.The ability to work independently.Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check following the FAA and DOT guidelines.Must demonstrate a strong aptitude for electrical systems and be comfortable working with diagnostics, wiring, sensors, and electronic controls commonly found in modern ground support equipment.Traveling required.In order to provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals, employment decisions at Sheltair will be based on merit, qualifications and abilities.
