Group President, Veterinary LeadershipCOVE Animal Health is seeking a visionary, collaborative veterinary leader to serve as Group President for our Massachusetts and Rhode Island region. This executive leadership role provides medical, operational, and cultural oversight across a growing network of specialty, emergency, urgent care, and primary care hospitals throughout the region. The position combines strategic business leadership with a deep commitment to clinical excellence, team development, and hospital growth.As part of the senior leadership team, the Group President partners closely with Operations, Medical Directors, Hospital Leadership, and executive leadership to support high-quality medicine, strong financial performance, collaborative culture, and continued regional expansion.This is an ideal opportunity for a veterinary leader who is passionate about building teams, developing doctors, supporting hospital operations, and helping shape the future of veterinary medicine across a multi-site network.Medical & Clinical LeadershipMaintain an active clinical presence within regional hospitals by regularly working alongside doctors and clinical teams.Champion a medicine-first, doctor-led culture across the regionLead and mentor Medical Directors and veterinary leadership teamsEnsure hospitals maintain exceptional standards of patient care, safety, ethics, and complianceDrive clinical quality improvement initiatives and best practice standardizationOversee internship, residency, mentorship, and doctor development programsSupport recruitment, onboarding, and retention of veterinarians and medical leadersLead through a visible, boots-on-the-ground leadership philosophy that prioritizes connection to frontline teams, and hospital workflows.Operational & Strategic LeadershipPartner in dyad leadership with Operations to support hospital performance, staffing, growth, and resource managementBe comfortable maintaining an active clinical role within our anchor emergency hospitals while balancing executive leadership responsibilitiesDevelop and execute regional growth initiatives and hospital strategyLead operational and cultural integration efforts for acquisitions and de novo hospitalsReview hospital metrics and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement and growthPartner on facility planning, equipment investments, and operational infrastructure needsEnsure hospitals maintain OSHA and regulatory compliance standardsGuide workforce planning and scheduling strategies across hospitalsCulture, Collaboration & Team DevelopmentFoster a highly collaborative and supportive regional cultureBuild strong relationships with doctors, technicians, hospital leaders, and support teamsPromote continuous learning, mentorship, and leadership developmentLead technical training and leadership development initiatives for hospital teamsMaintain a strong presence within hospitals to build trust, engagement, and alignmentRepresent the region externally through professional associations, partnerships, and community engagementWhat We're Looking ForDVM or VMD requiredEmergency and/or urgent care experience strongly preferredProven ability to lead collaborative teams and support organizational growthPassion for mentorship, culture-building, and people developmentExcellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership abilitiesCommitment to high-quality medicine and exceptional patient careCOVE Animal Health supports a growing network of leading veterinary hospitals united by a shared commitment to exceptional medicine, collaboration, and people-first leadership.
