Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading global wealth management firm to identify an experienced Group Director to support a high-performing Financial Advisor/Private Wealth Advisor team. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a client service professional with extensive wealth management experience who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
The Group Director will oversee the team's client service model, lead support professionals, optimize business operations, and help deliver an exceptional experience for high-net-worth clients. This individual will work closely with Financial Advisors, Private Wealth Advisors, Business Service Officers, and internal business partners to drive operational excellence and support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the team's client service model
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, advisors, and internal business partners
- Support Financial Advisors and Private Wealth Advisors in strengthening existing client relationships and developing new business opportunities
- Prepare for client meetings, manage follow-up items, and ensure timely execution of action plans
- Prepare and review client reports and financial planning materials using firm-approved systems
- Participate in client and prospective client meetings from a client service perspective
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business processes
- Supervise and mentor client service professionals while ensuring alignment with business priorities
- Coordinate operational matters across the team and drive issues through resolution
- Partner with Business Service Officers on recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management of support staff
- Assist in executing business plans, tracking performance metrics, and managing team compensation processes
- Support firm initiatives, regulatory projects, and operational remediations
- Develop and oversee client communication strategies
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience within wealth management, private wealth, or financial services
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing client service teams
- Advanced degree, industry certification, or equivalent professional experience
- Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 & Series 65)
- Willingness to obtain additional licenses and certifications as needed
