We're looking to expand our team across the board.We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer who is passionate about building software that pushes the bounds of what's possible. Our software is a modern web-based application (React/TypeScript, C# .NET) with a microservice infrastructure (Docker, Kafka, REST) that operators use to monitor and control constellations of spacecraft across several active missions.As a senior member of the team, you'll take end-to-end ownership of complex features, drive technical planning and breakdown, and actively invest in the growth of the engineers around you. You'll work closely with engineers, satellite operators, customers, and UI/UX to tackle hard problems like:Collision avoidance, conjunction analysis, and orbit-raising maneuver planningOperation center failover and continuity of controlCross-satellite network maintenance and space-to-ground link managementGround station contact scheduling and pass optimizationMulti-vehicle mission coordinationYour work will be integrated with our in-house simulation software and deployed in Mission Operation Centers where it directly supports active missions in orbit.Prior space-industry experience is not required.Position DetailsTeam size: 6-8 developersRemote Policy: Hybrid (4 days in office)Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop key user-facing features to support both current and future missions using TypeScript, React, C#, MSSQL, InfluxDB, Kafka, and PythonTranslate designs and requirements into high-quality, maintainable codeBuild reusable components, shared libraries, and scalable services for use across the platformEngineer algorithms and business logic to promote scalability and automationWrite unit tests and documentation for internal users and customersWrite integration tests against simulation tools to validate behavior against realistic mission scenariosParticipate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectivesOther duties as assignedTeam LeadershipCollaborate with engineers, operators, UI/UX, and customers across departmentsMentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussionsContribute to sprint planning, technical scoping, and cross-team alignment on feature workHelp establish and advocate for engineering best practices across the teamRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field6+ years of full-stack software engineering experienceDeep expertise in strongly typed backend languages, particularly C#, including multithreaded applications, concurrency patterns, and near-real-time data handlingStrong proficiency in modern React and its core principles, including component architecture and performance optimizationExperience designing and consuming REST APIs at scaleExperience with SQL databases, including schema design and query optimizationProficiency with common front-end tooling such as Yarn, Babel, and Material-UIExperience with Git in a collaborative, multi-contributor environmentDemonstrated ability to mentor engineers and drive code quality through reviews and design discussionsProven ability to collaborate across engineering, design, and operational stakeholdersExceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguous requirements independently and drive to resolutionStrong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiencesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environmentActive security clearance or ability to obtain onePreferred QualificationsExperience working across a polyglot stack including Python, Kafka, and InfluxDBExperience with modern state management tools such as TanStack QueryExperience designing and executing forward and backward compatible database migrations and deployment strategies in live production environmentsExperience with feature flagging strategies, including gradual rollouts, environment-based toggles, and flag lifecycle managementExperience with container-based installation and deployment strategies, including Docker and CI/CD pipeline integrationExperience managing backend caching layers, including cache invalidation strategies and distributed cache patterns in resource-constrained environmentsFamiliarity with modern security practices including API token management, CUI or classified information handling, and/or air-gapped environmentsIn compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required.
