Field DirectorGrindstone Campaigns is seeking a Field Director that will work directly with our consultant team to execute an efficient and targeted ground campaign. The Field Director will be responsible for managing field staff, including coordination of a professional canvassing operation, as well as organizing local organizations and volunteers to build outreach capacity.Ideal candidate will reside in the Davis/greater Sacramento but candidates located elsewhere will be considered.Field Director Duties:Recruit and train staffTrain and manage staff and volunteersProvide progress reports on strategic goals and organizational/advocacy activity dailyTrack and monitor data for quality and trends of interestQualifications:Minimum one cycle of campaign staff experienceExperience managing or working for a professional canvassing operation preferredStrong organizational, management, and interpersonal skillsExperience in setting and achieving measurable targets, managing teams, and coordinating between multiple stakeholdersAbility to communicate effectively, both written and verballyAbility to execute strategic goals and work effectively with regional and local leadersExperience with voter software, such as PDI or VAN preferred but not requiredMust be able to work long hours in a high?stress environmentMust be available 5-6 days a weekExpectations:Meet and exceed voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals set by the campaignDiligently manage volunteer database as instructed by the campaignProvide and foster a welcoming and productive environment for volunteers and supportersSupport volunteers and supporters in all voter contact activities on a daily basis
