Grinder/PolisherA national finishing company that primarily supports the aerospace industry, where quality and attention to detail are of the utmost importance, is seeking a Grinder/Polisher to assist with refurbishing industrial equipment. This role involves disassembling equipment, cleaning and preparing surfaces for refinishing, and supporting various production processes within a shop environment.Grinder/Polisher Responsibilities include:Scraping residue and build-up from industrial equipmentDisassembling large-scale industrial machines and componentsWashing parts and sorting reusable components from scrap materialsLoading and securing products into sandblasting equipment and blast boothsHand sanding and grinding surfaces to prepare them for painting and refinishingOperating surface blasting equipment using materials such as sand and steel shot/beadsUsing pallet jacks and dollies to safely move large-scale equipment and components throughout the shopInspecting products for quality and workmanship throughout the processPacking and preparing finished products for shipmentWorking collaboratively with a team in a production shop environmentCarefully masking and protecting surfaces prior to painting and finishing operationsSchedule & Pay:1st Shift 7am -4pm M-F with potential for overtime on weekends, but rarely$20.00/HRGrinder/Polisher Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year of experience in an industrial or shop environmentStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipmentAbility to lift 40 lbs. consistently and up to 75 lbs.
