Immediate need for a talented Grid Systems ADMS/AspenTech Implementation Consultant .
This is a 12+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Dallas, TX (Onsite) .
Job ID: Pay Range: $46 - $67/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead functional and technical activities across all phases of large-scale AspenTech Digital Grid Management implementations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for AspenTech Monarch Platform solutions and associated OMS, ADMS, DMS, EMS, and SCADA applications.
- Lead client workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather, document, validate, and manage requirements.
- Develop solution designs, workflows, configuration specifications, interface designs, and implementation documentation.
- Lead requirements traceability, test planning, test execution, defect management, and defect triage activities.
- Coordinate and oversee system integration activities involving OMS, ADMS, SCADA, EMS, GIS, AMI, DERMS, and Distribution Automation.
- Lead system commissioning, UAT, cutover planning, deployment, and production go-live activities.
- Analyze utility business processes and operational workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop project plans, schedules, status reports, risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and executive communications.
- Support software evaluation and selection activities, including RFP development and vendor assessments.
- Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
- Deliver client training, knowledge transfer sessions, operational readiness activities, and post-deployment support.
- Troubleshoot complex application, integration, and operational issues.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to best practices and delivery methodologies.
- Support business development efforts through proposals, presentations, and solution strategy discussions.
- Maintain compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and client requirements.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Skills- Must have a Bachelors Degee with min 5-12 years of utility industry, utility consulting, or utility technology implementation experience.
- Must have 5 years of hands-on ADMS implementation and integration experience with a proven implementing AspenTech Digital Grid Management solutions and AspenTech Monarch Platform.
- Must have expertise with utility systems such as OMS, ADMS, DMS, EMS, SCADA, GIS, AMI, DERMS, and Distribution Automation.
- Must have experience leading the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.Must have 5 years of experience in the electric utility industry, utility consulting, or utility technology implementation environment.
- Must have 5 years of hands-on ADMS implementation and integration experience with a proven implementing AspenTech Digital Grid Management solutions and AspenTech Monarch Platform.
- Must have expertise with utility systems such as OMS, ADMS, DMS, EMS, SCADA, GIS, AMI, DERMS, and Distribution Automation.
- Must have experience leading the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the electric utility industry, utility consulting, or utility technology implementation environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience implementing and integrating ADMS systems (MUST SHOW on resume).
- Required experience implementing AspenTech Digital Grid Management solutions, including AspenTech Monarch Platform (MUST SHOW on resume).
- Demonstrated experience leading workstreams, project teams, or major project deliverables.
- Strong understanding of utility operations and grid modernization initiatives.
- Experience gathering business, functional, technical, and integration requirements.
- Experience leading testing, deployment, cutover, and operational readiness activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
