As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour Schedule: 10-hour shift, 8-hour shift, day shift, holidays, weekend availability Work Location: In personKey ResponsibilitiesSafely operates equipment and accessories as trained and assignedProperly cares for assigned equipment by inspecting machinery before and after each use, cleaning machinery after each use, making necessary minor adjustments, and reporting machinery/equipment problems to the mechanicMaintains maintenance and fluid use logs (gas and oil) on assigned equipmentPerforms daily maintenance tasks on the golf course, grounds, maintenance facility, and clubhouse as assigned and directed; duties may include but are not limited to: loading and unloading materials, trimming trees, removing cuttings, laying sod, hand raking bunkers, drainage installation and repair, and repairing ball marks and filling divotsPerforms golf course service and setup work as directedPerforms other duties as assignedOther ResponsibilitiesCommunicate verbally with staff members and/or membersGive and/or follow verbal and written instructionsVisually inspect all work areas, golf course, and groundsSee players on the golf course and follow the flight of golf ballsOperate vehicles and equipment for several hours at a timeMaintain strong attention to detailEducation/Qualifications/CertificationsHigh school diploma preferredOne year of experience with equipment and/or golf course maintenance or landscaping preferredDemonstrated ability to operate golf course equipmentStrong verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required, including nights and weekendsIrrigation knowledge, fertilizing and chemical experience is a plus.Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situationsDriver's License preferredAdditional QualificationsQualified applicants will have experience in golf course maintenance and landscapingIrrigation knowledge; fertilizing and chemical experience is a plusPhysical RequirementsStand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend, and kneel for up to five hours at a timeLift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantlyWorking Conditions:Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
