HGA is seeking a Grant Manager to support government operations in Baton Rouge, LA. The Grant Manager will work under the supervision of a Senior Grant Manager to support HGA's government clients through the full grant lifecycle, from application through closeout. This role focuses on the administration of HUD Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) programs, as well as the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP), while ensuring compliance with applicable federal regulations and alignment with HGA's operational and client-service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with identifying available grant opportunities and supporting grant application development for government clients
- Support administration of CDBG-DR, CDBG-MIT, and HMGP grant programs across all phases of the grant lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and program-specific regulations and requirements
- Utilize grant management systems such as DRGR and FEMA GO for tracking, reporting, and documentation
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders including homeowners, developers, contractors, grantees, subrecipients, federal agencies, and internal teams
- Support development and maintenance of electronic project files, tracking systems, and required reporting
- High school diploma or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of two years of grant management experience
- Working knowledge of federal grant compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with HUD CDBG-DR and CDBG-MIT programs
- Experience with FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP)
- Familiarity with DRGR, FEMA GO, or other grant management systems
- Experience supporting government or public-sector clients
