Responsibilities

n

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) new graduate is an entry-level clinical role designed for new graduate respiratory therapists. Under the direction of a licensed physician and departmental leadership, the RCP new graduate provides basic respiratory care procedures and participates in the assessment, treatment, and monitoring of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. This role supports safe, high-quality, and evidence-based care while progressing toward full licensure and independent practice.

Qualifications

n

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

n

Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.Eligible to sit for the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialing exams.Holds a Temporary Respiratory Therapist License from the Maine Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners.4. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.

  1. nAdult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification to be obtained three (3) months of hire.nn

  3. nPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification preferred. nn

  5. nNeonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is preferred.nn
  6. n
  7. nAssociate degree required.nn
  8. n
  9. nAchievement of CRT or RRT credential through NBRC within three (3) months of hire.nn

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $25.00 to $27.35 per hour. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
