All day long, our in-house team prepares a rotating selection of ready-to-eat and made-to-order options, including bakery items, breakfast sandwiches and parfaits, salads, sandwiches, and entrées.Position Summary:The Gourmet Markets Sourcing Specialist will support the strategic development and daily operations of our gourmet farm market store division. This role focuses on vendor relationships, product research, and administrative excellence. Working closely with the Gourmet Markets Sourcing Manager, this position will execute sourcing initiatives, maintain critical resources, and coordinate cross-functional activities that support our growth and operational efficiency across our gourmet stores and restaurants.Applicable Skills:Experience in retail and/or restaurant environmentsKnowledge of CPG products, specialty food trends, and food safety requirementsUnderstanding of food costing, product pricing, and basic margin analysisFamiliarity with specialty, natural, and broadline distribution channelso US distribution landscape required, Canadian market knowledge a plusKey Responsibilities:Vendor Management & Product Sourcing:Research, identify, and vet emerging and specialty brands aligned with brand strategy and market positioningBuild and maintain relationships with vendors, distributors, and brand representativesCoordinate product sampling, tastings, and new item evaluationsManage vendor onboarding documentation and compliance requirementsTrack and communicate vendor performance, delivery schedules, and quality issuesData Management & Administrative Support:Maintain and update Masterlist files, local brand assortments, and partner lists by locationCreate and manage order guides, SKU databases, and product specificationsSupport financial modeling and cost analysis for new product introductionsPrepare reports and presentations for leadership review and decision-makingCoordinate logistics for product launches and menu implementationsCross-Functional Coordination:Support internal and external communications with field teams, operations, and vendorsCoordinate with purchasing, finance, legal, and operations on sourcing-related initiativesAssist with issue resolution and troubleshooting for sourcing and procurement challengesParticipate in industry events, trade shows, and vendor meetings to identify opportunitiesDocument processes, best practices, and learnings to support knowledge sharingQualifications:Bachelor's Degree preferred2-4 years' experience in Merchandising, Procurement, Sourcing, or related fieldProficiency with analytical tools (Excel, databases, etc.) and ability to learn new systems quicklyStrong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyExcellent attention to detail and follow-throughPassion for specialty food, culinary trends, and the foodservice/retail industryAbility to work collaboratively across functions and build effective working relationshipsStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter with ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environmentEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
