Trade Analyst – Duty Mitigation (Enhanced Data & Analytics Focus)Position SummaryThe Trade Analyst plays a critical role in advancing the effectiveness, scalability, and maturity of global trade operations. This role is responsible for architecting, developing, and delivering scalable data, analytics, and identifying automation solutions that transform data into strategic insight and enable compliant, efficient execution of duty mitigation initiatives. This individual leverages enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and advanced analytics to support integrated reporting frameworks, and predictive insights, while enabling a strong foundation for self-service analytics across trade operations.Duty Mitigation Strategy and Regulatory ComplianceSupport and enhance global duty mitigation and tariff management initiatives through data-driven analysis and scalable reporting solutions.
Develop and maintain knowledge of regulations including Free Trade Agreements and Duty Drawback. Perform and oversee data validation, data quality monitoring, and governance practices to ensure compliance, audit readiness, and integrity of enterprise datasets supporting trade operations.Data Analysis, Financial Reporting, and InsightsDesign and develop data models optimized for reporting, analytics, and advanced AI/ML consumptionBuild queries, enterprise reports, dashboards, and data quality scorecards using Tableau, Power BI, and SQLEnable self-service analytics through governed datasets and scalable reporting frameworksApply predictive analytics and machine learning models to generate forward-looking insightsEstablish and enforce data governance, integrity, and quality standards across reporting environmentsProcess Management & Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner cross-functionally with Trade Operations, Finance, IT, and Supplier Account Management teams to support strategic initiatives and system enhancements.
