Trade Analyst – Duty Mitigation (Enhanced Data & Analytics Focus)Position SummaryThe Trade Analyst plays a critical role in advancing the effectiveness, scalability, and maturity of global trade operations. This role is responsible for architecting, developing, and delivering scalable data, analytics, and identifying automation solutions that transform data into strategic insight and enable compliant, efficient execution of duty mitigation initiatives. This individual leverages enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and advanced analytics to support integrated reporting frameworks, and predictive insights, while enabling a strong foundation for self-service analytics across trade operations.Duty Mitigation Strategy and Regulatory ComplianceSupport and enhance global duty mitigation and tariff management initiatives through data-driven analysis and scalable reporting solutions.

Develop and maintain knowledge of regulations including Free Trade Agreements and Duty Drawback. Perform and oversee data validation, data quality monitoring, and governance practices to ensure compliance, audit readiness, and integrity of enterprise datasets supporting trade operations.Data Analysis, Financial Reporting, and InsightsDesign and develop data models optimized for reporting, analytics, and advanced AI/ML consumptionBuild queries, enterprise reports, dashboards, and data quality scorecards using Tableau, Power BI, and SQLEnable self-service analytics through governed datasets and scalable reporting frameworksApply predictive analytics and machine learning models to generate forward-looking insightsEstablish and enforce data governance, integrity, and quality standards across reporting environmentsProcess Management & Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner cross-functionally with Trade Operations, Finance, IT, and Supplier Account Management teams to support strategic initiatives and system enhancements. Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable business insights and ensure alignment with enterprise data strategies.

Support development and standardization of SOPs, data governance frameworks, and control documentation to drive consistency and scalability.Automation, Systems & Digital EnablementArchitect Robotics Process Automation (RPA) solutions for operational workflows and collaborate with RPA teams.Architect AI/ML-driven solutions to support business decision-making and predictive analyticsDevelop and manage data pipelines and integration workflows using platforms such as DatabricksCollaborate with IT groups to architect and enhance scalable data platforms, including integration, data warehousing, and search capabilitiesContribute to the design and delivery of enterprise data infrastructure supporting analytics, reporting, and AI use casesRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in trade compliance, analytics, or data-focused rolesExperience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and data visualization toolsExperience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard developmentPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree or certifications in Data Analytics or Data ScienceExperience with Duty Drawback, Free Trade Agreements, or FTZ programsExperience designing and deploying AI/ML or advanced analytics solutionsExperience with data modeling, enterprise data architecture, and self-service analytics enablementProficiency in Python and machine learning frameworksCore Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical, data modeling, and visualization expertiseAbility to architect scalable data solutions and translate data into strategic insightsKnowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and automation technologiesStrong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skillsTools & TechnologiesSQL, Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, SAP Analytics & Reporting Tools, Python (Machine Learning & AI), Data Science & Predictive Analytics, RPA tools, and enterprise data platforms.Additional InformationTime Type: Full timeEmployee Type: Assignee / RegularTravel: Yes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible: NoThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
