Responsibilities
- Address, research, and consult on complex GIT technical issues for a variety of clients
- Collaborate with WNTO leaders and staff and work closely with Tax Solution Families on identifying risk management issues
- Review documentation and computations for client projects including voluntary disclosure agreements, nexus studies, taxability matrices, and transaction related analysis
- Prepare written tax advice on GIT matters
- Track new developments from state and local jurisdictions with an emphasis on covering GIT issues
- Support Firm-wide and external training to enhance the knowledge of Firm professionals and clients in GIT matters
- Develop tools that will be utilized by the Firm to provide quality service to clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- CPA or JD required; LLM in Taxation preferred
- At least six years of SALT consulting experience at a major public accounting or law firm
- Demonstrated success in tax technical work
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet preparation and interpretation
