Global Head Insurance Learning-Underwriting & Technical ExcellenceThe Global Head Insurance Learning-Underwriting & Technical Excellence is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive learning and development strategies focused on the upskilling and continuous education of underwriters and claims adjusters. This role spans across Chubb's global products, markets, customer segments, industry practices and distribution channels.The incumbent will work closely with Business Heads, HR Business Partners, the Global and Regional Talent & Development teams to implement learning programs and practices to develop and engage employees to achieve business priorities and objectives.This position requires a collaborative leader with a growth mindset who has the maturity, judgment, energy and discipline to effectively deliver in Chubb's fast paced and matrixed environment. Individuals with extensive underwriting audit experience or those who have worked within a Chief Underwriting Officer organization are of particular interest to Chubb for this role.The role reports to the Executive Vice President, Chief Talent Officer. The ideal candidate will sit in our New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA or Simsbury, CT offices.
Other Chubb office locations may be considered.Responsibilities:Develop and execute a global learning strategy focused on underwriting and claims excellenceOversee the design, development and delivery of training programs, ensuring alignment with compliance, regulatory, and industry standardsProvide blended learning solutions, including in-person, virtual and digital learning platformsLead holistic approach to Early Career learning, including Associate, Apprentices and InternsIdentify opportunities for bespoke, product-specific curricula for experienced employeesPartner with Talent & Development colleagues to deliver region-specific learning initiativesOversee a relationship management model that balances multiple stakeholders (e.g., Business Leaders, HR, Region/Business L&D) while effectively deploying global resources in an agile wayLead skills-based learning initiatives to bridge workforce skill gaps tied to skills taxonomiesMaximize Oracle and LinkedIn Learning functionality to scale access to and impact of learningDesign and deliver skills academies for critical roles in tight partnership with Business UnitsClearly define and measure learning outcomes, including enhanced levels of authorityShape and refine Learning function's operating model to ensure efficiency and effectivenessImplement learning platforms and AI technologies that optimize resources and scale learningManage learning budgets, vendor relationships, and external education partnersQualifications:Extensive experience (10+ years) in learning and development roles within insuranceDeep understanding of insurance operations, especially underwriting and claims workflowsKnowledge of regulatory requirements and professional standards in major insurance marketsFamiliarity with learning technologies and emerging AI-enabled platformsStrategic leadership; stakeholder engagement and influencing skillsDemonstrated ability to attract, develop and retain high-performing teamExperience managing a geographically dispersed team; preferably including outside the U.S.Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and manage complex projectsAbility and comfort in presenting and facilitating effectively to small and large audiencesData-driven, with experience in applying analytics to learning outcomesThe pay range for the role is $200,000-$250,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
