About the Role
Freddy's Glass is hiring an experienced Glazier to join our team in Waco, Texas. If you know your way around residential, commercial, and auto glass and take pride in precise, high-quality work, we'd like to talk to you. This is a full-time, on-site position — you'll be working hands-on at our facility and at project sites throughout the Waco area.
We're looking for someone who brings real experience to the table and who shares our commitment to doing the job right the first time. Our clients count on us for dependable, top-tier glass work, and every member of our team plays a part in keeping that reputation strong.
What You'll Be Doing
- Measuring, installing, and removing glass across residential, commercial, and automotive settings
- Selecting, cutting, replacing, and fitting glass to spec
- Building and installing frames for glass installations
- Applying adhesives, sealants, and caulk as part of the install process
- Working with tools of the trade — glass cutters, suction cups, pliers, grinders
- Partnering directly with clients to design and execute custom glass solutions
- Reading blueprints and technical diagrams to guide accurate placement
- Repairing and maintaining existing installations, flagging risks or damage as needed
- Following all safety protocols on every job
- Driving company vehicles to transport materials and crew to job sites
- Keeping accurate records of work completed and materials used
- Managing tool, equipment, and supply inventory
- Advising customers on the best glass options for their needs
- Taking part in team meetings and training to keep skills sharp
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Glazier preferred — whether you've got a couple years under your belt or you're new to the trade and eager to learn, we want to hear from you
- Willingness to learn glass handling, cutting, installation, and removal if you're newer to the field
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle the physical demands of the job — standing, bending, lifting, maneuvering large glass pieces
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or apprenticeship in glass installation is a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail with delicate materials
- Great customer service instincts
- Comfortable reading blueprints and technical diagrams, or willing to learn
- Valid driver's license with a clean record; willing to travel between job sites
- Strong problem-solver who can think on their feet
- Safety-minded, with working knowledge of first-aid and workplace safety
- Team player with solid communication skills
- Flexible availability, including occasional overtime or weekends
