GIS Technician 3Location: Naperville, IL 60563Schedule: Hybrid Schedule is Monday-Thursday in office with Friday remote.Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Technician with 2–4 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support mapping, data management, and spatial analysis activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with ESRI GIS software, tools, and databases, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate GIS data and creating high-quality mapping products.QualificationsRequired:2–4 years of experience in a GIS-related role.Diploma, Certificate, or associate degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field.Experience working with ESRI GIS software, tools, and databases.Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesManage routine GIS tasks, including data maintenance, data management, and map creation.Create maps and visual representations using GIS software and tools.Ensure GIS databases are updated accurately and in a timely manner.Collaborate with GIS Analysts and project teams on complex GIS projects.Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies and quality issues.Assist with maintaining GIS standards and best practices.Provide recommendations for GIS process improvements and tool enhancements.Support spatial data analysis and reporting as needed.Required Skills & Expertise2–4 years of hands-on experience with ESRI GIS software and related technologies.Experience managing GIS databases and spatial data.Knowledge of cartography and map production principles.Ability to interpret and maintain geospatial data accurately.Strong analytical and organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
