GIS/.NET DeveloperJob Location: Remote work for this position is contemplated but must be available for initial on-site setup and regular meetings at office in Tallahassee, Florida Job Duration: 24 month contractJob Duties:Create and manage GIS data and metadata for web-based mapping applications.Use Python programming to develop workflows that require specific geoprocessing tasks to build and update databases for given projects.Design, develop and maintain web sites and GIS web mapping applications, most frequently using the ArcGIS Experience Builder developer edition.Design, develop and maintain ArcGIS Pro maps and publish to ArcGIS Server map services and/or ArcGIS Online web maps.Coordinate and provide training, consultation, and design recommendations to end-users of GIS web mapping applications.Design, develop and maintain Geodatabases.Design, develop and maintain SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and views.Provide change management in a code promotion role in partnership with development team.Provide analytical services on systems to implement user-defined requirements.Provide analytical services on systems to identify operational efficiencies.Facilitate collecting system requirements with the business program staff.Produce work estimates to implement user-defined requirements.Perform testing on system changes to meet user-defined requirements.Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff.Produce status reports on the implementation of user-defined requirements.Produce accounting of hours worked by tasks.Provide analytical services on GIS & IT processes to identify operational efficiencies.Follow GIS & IT processes and coordinate with other GIS & IT staff to ensure compliance with standards.Technical consultant to staff.Complies with and enforces all agency policies, procedures, and security policies.Provide Technical Training (Knowledge Transfer), as required for staff as related to GIS web mapping applications.Required Experience:Education and experience GIS-relatedThree or more years’ experience with combined ArcGIS Desktop and/or ArcGIS Pro.Three or more years’ experience with ArcGIS Pro.Two or more years’ experience with configuring ArcGIS Online web maps.Three or more years’ experience developing GIS data.Three or more years’ experience creating maps using documented cartographic design principles.Two or more years’ experience publishing GIS data to ArcGIS Server map services.Two or more years’ experience Python scripting for Esri GIS desktop products such as GIS data processing tasksTwo or more years’ experience with SQL programming accessing GIS datasets and/or MS SQL tables/viewsGIS Web Mapping Application DevelopmentThree or more years’ experience developing ArcGIS Web AppBuilder and/or Experience Builder applications using the developer edition of these applications.Three or more years’ experience Javascript, CSS, HTML programming.Two or more years’ experience with Google Maps API.Two or more years’ experience with ASP.NET Core with C#.Two or more years’ experience with PHP.Experience building ADA-compliant GIS web mapping applications.Experience developing mobile compatible GIS web mapping applications.Experience providing analytical services on systems to implement user-defined requirements.Experience providing analytical services on systems to identify operational efficiencies.Experience collecting system requirements with business program staff.Experience producing work estimates to implement user-defined requirements.Experience testing system changes to meet user-defined requirements.Experience facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT) with business program staff.Experience in change management best practices, serving in a code promotion role in partnership with development team.EducationA Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geography, Natural Resources, Computer Science, or related field of study.Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.
