Position Summary

GI Technician – ASC Manhasset Endoscopy, Full‑Time, Days. Endoscopy Experience Highly Preferred. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for preparing the procedure room, facilitating the availability of all equipment for both advanced and routine endoscopic procedures, providing safe, therapeutic, age‑specific care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, adhering to strict scope/equipment reprocessing guidelines, assisting with patient transport and cleaning duties necessary for orderly functioning, and ensuring proper par levels of advanced and standard endoscopic supplies within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure room and equipment for endoscopic procedures.
• Facilitate availability of equipment for advanced and routine endoscopic procedures.
• Provide safe, therapeutic, age‑specific care under a Registered Nurse’s direction.
• Adhere to scope/equipment reprocessing guidelines.
• Assist with patient transport and cleaning duties.
• Ensure proper par levels of endoscopic supplies within budget.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1–2 years Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and basic computer skills.
• Must obtain one of the following certifications within 6 months of employment: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER), or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER).

Required Licenses and Certifications

• SGNA Advanced Associate or SGNA Associate certification.

Location & Schedule

ASC Manhasset Endoscopy, Full‑Time, Days. Shift options: 6:30 am – 2:30 pm or 9:30 am – 5:30 pm.

Salary range: $61,568.48 – $65,570.34 annually.
