GI Technician - ASC Manhasset Endoscopy (Full‑Time, Days)

Position Summary: Join our team as a GI Technician in the ASC Manhasset Endoscopy unit. The role involves preparing the procedure room, ensuring equipment readiness for advanced and routine endoscopic procedures, providing patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, maintaining strict reprocessing guidelines, assisting with patient transport and cleaning duties, and managing inventory to keep proper par levels within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the procedure room for endoscopic procedures.
• Ensure availability and functionality of all equipment for both advanced and routine endoscopic procedures.
• Provide safe, therapeutic, age‑specific care under RN direction.
• Adhere to strict scope and equipment reprocessing guidelines.
• Assist with patient transport and cleaning duties for orderly room function.
• Maintain proper par levels of advanced and standard endoscopic supplies within budget.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent.
• Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Basic computer skills.
• Within 6 months of employment must obtain one of the following certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER), or Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER).

Required Licenses/Certifications

• SGNA Advanced Associate

Salary

Salary range: $61,568.48 – $65,570.34 annually. Actual salaries depend on factors such as experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The stated range does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
