GI Tech Position at Nashville General HospitalNashville General Hospital is looking to hire a GI Tech for our Endoscopy/GI Lab on a Full-time basis!This position is primarily responsible for assisting in GI Lab performing endoscopic procedures. GI tech is responsible for room and equipment set up, supplies, charging, procedure room organization and equipment cleaning. Other duties include obtaining vitals on surgical patients, assisting with patient discharge, patient transporting, entering lab requests and answering the telephone.

As a GI Tech, you will:Assist endoscopist and operate equipment during an invasive examActively participates in patient education by appropriately utilizing available resources and adjusting it to meet the patient's individual needsPost procedure, assists with patient transport, properly sterilizes scopes, ensures exams are charged and procedures loggedMonitors and audits sterilization cycles with DSD. Obtains scope culture status and reports appropriatelyMonitors par levels, orders supplies, notifies supervisor of supply or equipment needsRequired Skills & Qualifications:High School Diploma required1 year of GI Tech experience or Medical Assistant may substituteCNT PreferredEmployee must have valid BLS upon hire.
