Job Description:

Responsibilities

n
• n

  Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions

  n
n
• n

  Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations

  n
n
• n

  Perform consultations, follow-up visits, and routine outpatient evaluations

  n
n
• n

  Provide inpatient GI consult support and rounding as needed

  n
n
• n

  Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic test results

  n
n
• n

  Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians

  n
n
• n

  Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and preventive care

  n
n
• n

  Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary services

  n
n
• n

  Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record

  n
n
• n

  Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development efforts

  n

Qualifications

APRN Requirements

n
• n

  Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program

  n
n
• n

  Current Florida APRN license or eligibility for licensure

  n
n
• n

  National board certification as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP)

  Current BLS certification
