GFSTM Noyce Project AssistantSaint Joseph's College of Maine is seeking a dynamic individual for the part-time, 20 hours per week position of GFSTM Noyce Project Assistant!The GFSTM Noyce Project Assistant will be under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator. The responsibilities will include coordinating scholar activities and cohort building, logistics and purchasing support for events, communication and social media. In addition, the project assistant will assist with submission of stipend and reimbursement requests, as well as data collection required for project reporting.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned depending on interest and qualifications.Position Responsibilities:Program AdministrationCoordinate project activities including the Teaching Experience Short Course and Career PanelsOversee communication about the GFSTM Noyce project including updates to the website and social mediaOrganize and maintain files and records of data related to Noyce scholars and graduatesAssist with budget oversight including administration of stipends, reimbursement requests, and monthly reconciliationPrincipal Investigator SupportProvide scheduling support, calendar management support, and meeting agenda preparationPlan, organize, and co-facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholdersData EntryManage, scan, archive, and assist with analysis of a variety of program data and documentsCreate, manage, and troubleshoot accurate budget spreadsheetsWork with GFSTM PI to prepare project reportsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeA valid driver's license and ability to successfully pass a background check is requiredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Ability to work both independently, collaboratively, and on multiple teams, simultaneouslyCommitment to promoting inclusion, equity, and fairness in all aspects of the workPreferred Qualifications:MS degree or Secondary Teaching Credential in STEM field2 years administrative experience / grant administrationExperience in higher educationPrior experience working with secondary STEM teachersAbout GFSTM: This is a temporary part-time position funded through the NSF-sponsored Growing Future STEM Teachers in Maine (GFSTM) project. Through full-tuition scholarships, GFSTM seeks to recruit and prepare future science and math teachers, and provide continued support as they enter the classroom in high-need school districts.
