Geriatrician

Introducing an excellent opportunity to join Hartford HealthCare’s highly respected, innovative, and supportive multi-disciplinary geriatrics team in Torrington, Connecticut. You will be part of a well-established, state-wide geriatric service providing primarily team-based outpatient geriatric care, with opportunities for inpatient and palliative care. This flexible, full-time role offers a collaborative environment with an engaged support team and a comprehensive suite of resources.

Practice Info

• Join an established team of 20+ geriatric providers serving the geriatric patient population.
• Practice primarily outpatient geriatric consultative services (approx. 75%) with inpatient services (approx. 25%).
• Utilize an engaged support team, EPIC with Dragon, AI-assisted charting, HIPAA-compliant texting, patient self-scheduling, and patient portal.
• Access system resources including Behavioral Health, High Risk Nurse Care Managers, and Social Workers.
• Professional development opportunities in leadership, research, and academic teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide approximately 75% outpatient geriatric consultative services and 25% inpatient services.
• Deliver team-based outpatient geriatric care with opportunities for inpatient and palliative care.
• Participate in optional teaching with a faculty appointment.
• Take infrequent phone calls to maintain work-life balance.

• Comp range: $240,000+ and incentives

Requirements

• Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license (or eligible)
• BC/BE Geriatrics
• Dual certified in palliative care is a plus
