The Emory Clinic is seeking a Geriatric Psychiatrist to join a dynamic team of clinicians, educators, and researchers dedicated to delivering high-quality care in an innovative environment. Our mission focuses on developing new treatments and training the next generation of psychiatrists.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric care to both new and established patients within the Geriatric Psychiatry Division.
  • Teach fellows, residents, and medical students during clinical activities.
  • Attend case conferences and participate in administrative and educational meetings.
  • Option to engage in research activities, including clinical studies, quality improvement projects, and development of evidence-based practices and specialized treatments.
  • Participate in the faculty on-call schedule, including inpatient on-call responsibilities.
  • Structure the role as approximately 80% clinical care and 20% administration and teaching or research, with potential adjustments based on research funding or related activities.

Minimum qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of a four-year psychiatry residency and a geriatric psychiatry fellowship
  • Hold or be eligible for a medical license in the State of Georgia
  • Board certified or board eligible

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
