A focused 12-month advanced fellowship in dementia, cognitive and behavioral neurology, serious illness communication, symptom management, caregiver support, and interdisciplinary care for older adults with Alzheimer disease and related dementias (ADRDs).

Program highlights

  • Outpatient and consultative care for dementia and related disorders
  • Neuropalliative care exposure including symptom management, family meetings, and advance care planning
  • Interdisciplinary learning with geriatrics, neuropsychology, licensed mental health counselors, therapy, and community support services
  • Faculty mentorship with Leonard Sokol, M.D., and Ranjan Duara, M.D., FAAN and other faculty from the NIA-funded 1 Florida Alzheimer disease Research Center (ADRC)
  • Graduates who want a clinically rich, academically grounded pathway in dementia care and neuropalliative care for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias
  • Applicants interested in memory disorders, aging, caregiver-centered practice, and serious illness communication
