Geotechnical Project ManagerWeston & Sampson has an immediate opening for a Geotechnical Project Manager with 8+ years of experience in our Waterbury, VT office. The candidate must have comprehensive experience with geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interaction, development of appropriate foundation and site-related geotechnical recommendations, and report preparation. Field experience associated with subsurface investigations and earthwork construction is required.
Experience with dams preferred.What You'll Do:Responsible for project management; preparation of proposals, complex technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites.What You'll Bring:MS with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering.Minimum 8 years of diverse and proven geotechnical experience.Experience with CAD, dam safety engineering, seepage analyses, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling related to dams is a plusFamiliar with geotechnical aspects of Building Codes and Design Manuals.Strong construction experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong leadership and decision-making skills.Must be motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.PE certification is required.
