Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Adheres to all Company safety rules and procedures. n
- Performing and managing field quality control tests and production records. n
- Performing basic field surveys, resolving geometry issues, preparing drawings/sketches to support construction work. n
- Ensuring all work is in accordance with Menard’s standards and design and construction drawings. n
- Researching and resolving drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors. n
- Preparing RFI’s for submission to General Contractors and Engineers. n
- Preparing project submittals for materials, work plans, means & methods statements n
- Maintaining and establishing relationships with project stakeholders and clients. n
- Supporting the Marketing and Business Development departments by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events. n
- Making technical presentations to prospects and supporting educational training of Menard clientele. n
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
n- n
- Understanding of basic principles of Civil Engineering and Construction Management (Geotechnical Engineer and Heavy Civil Construction). n
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. n
- Strong observation skills and ability to work with diligence. n
- Excellent problem-solving skills. n
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. n
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. n
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook. n
- Proficient with AutoCAD. n
- 50% overnight travel required. n
Education and Experience Requirements:
nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 0-3 years of experience required.
n-OR- any equivalent combination of education and experience which meets the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Physical Requirements:
n- n
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking and sitting at desk. n
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. n
- Must be able to traverse facilities in all types of weather conditions. n
Certifications, Licenses, Etc:
nRequired: OSHA 30 (company will assist)
nDesired: Engineer In Training (EIT)
