Key Responsibilities
- Plan, perform, and oversee geotechnical investigations and field exploration programs
- Coordinate drilling, sampling, and laboratory testing of soil and rock
- Analyze subsurface conditions and develop geotechnical engineering recommendations
- Prepare, review, and seal geotechnical engineering reports
- Provide foundation design, earthwork, and site development recommendations
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and design teams
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and quality control
- Lead client meetings and maintain client relationships
- Assist with proposal development and business development efforts
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Provide construction-phase geotechnical engineering support
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required (Texas license preferred or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field
- 4+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Experience with field investigations, drilling programs, and laboratory testing
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundations, earthwork, and site development
- Experience preparing geotechnical engineering reports
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience with Texas soil and subsurface conditions
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or municipal projects
- Experience with geotechnical analysis and design software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
