Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer (PE)

Illinois PE License is required

Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time Geotechnical Engineer (PE) to work in our Chicago, IL office .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare or assist staff in preparing geotechnical reports
  • Respond to geotechnical-related requests from job sites
  • Delegate tasks and visits to staff and geotechnical professionals
  • Conduct weekly video meetings and quarterly in-person visits with regional staff
  • Collaborate with other Geotechnical Services Managers through regular meetings and events
  • Assist in recruiting and developing geotechnical staff
  • Review requests for geotechnical proposals and advise on level of effort
  • Understand and plan geotechnical schedules based on proposals
  • Contribute to marketing content for proposals as needed
  • Monitor active investigations and support staff regularly
  • Attend mandatory pre-drill and post-drill meetings
  • Deliver training sessions to staff and clients on geological/geotechnical services
  • Assess field investigation risks and provide site oversight or training when needed
  • Travel may be required to any Fenagh office or client location

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 5+ years of Geotechnical Engineering experience
