One of Our Clients is seeking experienced Geoscientists (excluding Hydrologists and Geographers) to contribute domain expertise to a research project focused on advancing AI understanding in earth sciences. You will use your professional knowledge to design questions and tasks reflecting real-world geoscience workflows, helping AI systems learn to reason like domain experts.
This is a flexible, long‑term remote opportunity for geoscience professionals with significant experience in the field.
Engagement
- Engagement: Hourly contract (independent contractor)
- Location: Remote – candidates Arms‑based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Singapore, Dubai, or Australia who are legally able to work as independent contractors in their jurisdiction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design realistic geoscience questions and scenarios based on your professional expertise
- Translate geological workflows, analyses, and data interpretation into structured tasks for AI evaluation
- Review AI‑generated outputs for scientific accuracy, logical consistency, and domain relevance
- Identify errors, gaps, and edge cases in automated geoscience reasoning
- Maintain high standards of scientific rigor and professional applicability
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of full‑time professional experience as a Geoscientist (excluding Hydrologists and Geographers)
- Must be based in the US, UK, or Canada
- Strong expertise in geological processes, earth materials, subsurface modeling, and data interpretation
- Ability to clearly document workflows and explain professional reasoning
- Access to a desktop or laptop (Chromebooks are not supported)
- Minimum commitment: 15 hours per week
- Project duration: Through mid‑2026 or potentially longer (subject to change)
- Fully remote with flexible scheduling
Compensation & Contract Terms
- Hourly rate: $85–$100 , competitive based on experience szk location
- Paid weekly via Stripe or Wise
- Engagement as an independent contractor
- Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on performance and project needs
