We are seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert to support the development and enhancement of digital production optimization solutions for oil&gas service company.The role will connect production engineering expertise with software development, translating field challenges into actionable requirements, diagnostic workflows, and validated engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide domain expertise in ESP performance, diagnostics, surveillance, and production optimization.Translate production engineering needs into functional requirements, engineering workflows, business rules, and acceptance criteria.Define diagnostic logic, model inputs and outputs, and recommendations for well performance improvement.Work closely with Product Owners, developers, QA engineers, and production specialists to clarify requirements and evaluate proposed solutions.Validate engineering calculations, well models, analytical outputs, and application behavior against representative field scenarios.Support the development and evaluation of real-time monitoring, exception-based surveillance, and AI-assisted diagnostic capabilities.Identify and prioritize production optimization opportunities from a technical and operational perspective.Participate in customer workshops, product demonstrations, user acceptance testing, training, and implementation support.

SKILLS

Must have

• 10+ years of experience in production engineering, artificial lift, or production optimization.Strong hands-on expertise in ESP diagnostics, performance evaluation, and optimization.Strong knowledge of nodal analysis, IPR/VLP, multiphase flow, and well performance modeling.Experience with digital oilfield solutions, real-time production surveillance, and engineering workflow automation.Ability to translate complex engineering problems into clear software requirements and validation scenarios.Experience collaborating with software development teams on engineering applications or digital production solutions.Proficiency with production engineering tools such as Prosper, GAP, Pipesim, WellFlo, or equivalent systems.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.Professional working proficiency in English.Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

Previous experience with Halliburton Landmark products, projects, or customer implementations.Experience with gas lift and other artificial-lift methods, including SRP and PCP.Experience with integrated production modeling and surface-network optimization.Familiarity with machine learning and AI-assisted production diagnostics.Practical knowledge of Python, SQL, and visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, or Tableau.Experience supporting large-scale well optimization programs and measuring production uplift and downtime reduction.Relevant technical publications or patents.
