To support a prominent M&A advisory firm, the remote contract Senior M&A & Quality of Earnings (QofE) Financial Consultant will manage the conversion of QuickBooks records into GAAP-compliant financial schedules, conduct financial modeling, and assist with buyer due diligence through the closing process. Key responsibilities Reconcile and convert QuickBooks financial files into structured, GAAP-aligned financial statements while maintaining monthly entries Populate and manage the master financial model, including Proof of Cash and Net Income to Adjusted EBITDA bridge schedules Analyze historical financials to identify owner add-backs and run-rate adjustments, supporting the M&A Director with due diligence queries Required qualifications Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in good standing 5+ years of experience in Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) or Quality of Earnings (QofE) preparation Deep proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop & Online) and experience with messy ledgers Advanced Excel skills for complex financial modeling and reconciliations Availability for full-time hours initially, transitioning to flexible part-time availability
