Reviewing and assigning codes for outpatient medical records, the full-time remote Georgia Licensed Outpatient Coder will focus on coding for hospital outpatient surgery, wound care, and observation based on established guidelines. Key responsibilities Reviews and analyzes outpatient medical record documentation for accurate coding Assigns appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 HCPCS codes based on coding criteria Ensures compliance with coding guidelines and standards for outpatient surgery and related services Required qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required Hospital coding experience required Experience in coding at a multi-hospital organization preferred One or more coding certifications required upon hire Preferred certifications include RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, or CPC
