We are seeking a 100% remote, Clinical Genetics Physician MD/DO to serve as a Medical Expert Reviewer for the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC).
Role Summary Review denied treatment requests and render final medical determinations based on
- Medical Necessity
- Experimental/Investigation
- Emergency
Reviews are specialty-driven, completed through a secure web-based portal, and do not involve direct patient care.
Requirement
- Board Certified in Medical Genetics and Genomics for 5 years
- 24 hours/week of in person patient care.
- MD/DO
Compensation (Per Case)
- $150/cs Standard Medical Necessity
- $250/cs Expedited Medical Necessity (Due in less than 24 hrs. as per directions)
- $300/cs Standard Experimental/Investigational
- $400/cs Expedited Experimental/Investigational (Due in less than 24 hrs. as per directions
