Geneticist – Assistant/Associate/Professor (Pediatrics)

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics seek a qualified Geneticist for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank to join the growing division in Morgantown, WV.
Primary practice location is Morgantown with occasional travel to Summersville, WV and South Charleston, WV.
Clinical care will also be delivered via direct-to-home video visits and a clinic‑to‑clinic telemedicine program.

Responsibilities

• Practice pediatric and adult genetics with support from 2 other geneticists, 3 advanced practice providers, and 3 genetic counselors.
• Provide patient care for all ages including inpatient consults, telemedicine, and clinic visits.
• Actively involve in teaching medical students and residents.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility to obtain a state medical license.
• Completed accredited genetics residency and board certified in medical genetics.
• Preferable interest or training in metabolic patient care.
• For Associate or Professor rank, demonstrated leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high‑impact journals.

Additional Information

Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
Exempt (United States of America).
Travel to other sites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania may be required.
