The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a board-certified/eligibleOB-GYN Generalist to serve asDirector of Ambulatory Care .

FTE Breakdown: .2 FTE, .7 FTE Clinical, .1 FTE Education

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is looking to build upon our established team:

• Enjoy the reward and challenge of teaching future OB/GYNs in ourACGMEcertified residency program of 16 residents (4 per year)
• Well establishedteam of 6 OB/GYN’s, 2APP’s, and 16 residents (4 per year)
• Academic appointment with the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences
• Growing Maternal Fetal Medicine practice that providesfullrange of antenatal services
• Support for diabetes managementprovidedby a registereddietician
• Robust divisions of Urogynecology and Gynecologic Oncology provide patients with a full range of GYN care as well as support forObstetricemergencies
• Abilityto do robotic surgery is considered an asset as the department has robotic surgery supportedwithDaVinciXi
• Block time for OR cases
• Office hours Monday – Friday +Rotatingcall schedule

Director Responsibilities

1. Oversee and mentor clinical providers regarding standards of care, professionalism, interpersonal interactions, and protocols.
2. Monitor clinical outcomes.
3. Develop and coordinate schedules insuring appropriate coverage.
4. As necessary or requested by the Chief, educate clinical staff regarding proper treatmentmanagementof clinical conditions.
5. Aiding staff to monitor and comply with documentation and billing requirements.
6. Ensure staff maintain adequate instrumentation and supplies for patient visits and ambulatory procedures.
7. Other reasonable responsibilities as assigned by the Chief from time to time, but only after collaboration with agreement of the Director regarding any such other responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO from an Accredited Medical School
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• 5+ years of experience post fellowship
• Leadership experience preferred
• Successful completion of anACGMEapproved residency program in OB/GYN
• Ability to Successfully obtain a Maryland medical license & DEA license
• Expertise in robotic and minimally invasive GYN surgery a plus
