Responsibilities
- Admit, evaluate, diagnose and provide pre-, intra-, and postoperative care
- Perform surgical procedures for adolescents and adults to correct or treat various conditions, illnesses, and injuries of the alimentary tract, abdomen and its contents, breast, skin, soft tissue, head and neck, endocrine system, and minor extremity surgery
- Provide for the on-call emergent/urgent needs of the pediatric and pre-adolescent surgical patient within the core privilege definition

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of a hospital affiliated surgical residency program or a clinical fellowship of at least five years' duration accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training unless waived
