We are seeking a Board‑eligible or Board‑certified General Surgeon with an MD or DO, to serve in a non‑tenure track faculty role as Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor. The awardee will build an elective general surgery practice, teach medical students and residents, and contribute to the growth of advanced GI, MIS, endoscopic, robotic and oncologic programs. No trauma calls will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide and maintain a high level of patient care in general surgery and minimally invasive surgery.
• Conduct clinical teaching of trainees in general surgery and actively participate in the educational program.
• Maintain excellent communication with primary care physicians, consulting services, and other referring providers.
• Assist in marketing the general surgery program to community physicians and managed‑care organizations.
• Participate in monthly division and department meetings, administrative functions and institutional committees as requested.

Required Qualifications:

• MD or DO with Board‑eligible or Board‑certified status in General Surgery.
• Unrestricted Florida medical license (or ability to obtain one).

Preferred:

• Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery or Advanced GI Surgery.

Salary and academic appointment are negotiable and benefits are excellent. The position will report to the Chief of Gastrointestinal Surgery and Surgical Oncology and Chairman of the Department of Surgery. All faculty members receive a mentoring team and participate in a department‑wide faculty development program.
