General Surgeon

Role Overview

As a General Surgeon at Cedar City Hospital, you will practice in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment alongside experienced surgeons. You will maintain a balanced mix of clinic and operating room time while delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care across a broad range of general surgery conditions. You will coordinate pre‑ and post‑operative care and utilize a full range of surgical approaches, including minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as traditional methods.

Responsibilities

• Typical schedule includes two clinic days and two OR days per week.
• Shared call coverage with expectations dependent on team size.
• Opportunity to discuss additional clinical interests, with emphasis on maintaining balanced case volumes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery.
• ACGME‑accredited residency training in General Surgery.
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.

Location

Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital, Cedar City, Utah. Schedule: 40 hours per week.
