Job Summary
As aGeneral SuperintendentatLoenbro,you’llcoordinateall on-site activities of large construction projects. You’reresponsible forassistingcraft supervision to coordinateactivities of workers engaged in construction process,utilizingknowledge of equipment, techniques, procedures, and specifications.
KeyResponsibilities
- Assign and coordinate all trade field assignments with the needs of various projects.
- Support Superintendent throughout the duration of the job.
- Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman. Ensure that critical activities and decisionsremainonschedule forthe project management team.
- Document project field issues that impact budget,quality,or schedule, and provide to the project management team.
- Respond to subcontractor requests for field issues thatimpactbudget,quality,or schedule.
- Supervises the daily work of employees.
- Verifies conformance of finished work product, including overseeing compliance with all contract requirements.
- Ensureall safety and environmental requirements are met.
- Coordination of all labor, equipment, and subcontractor resources with Project subordinates and otherLoenbrocompanies to ensuretimely, cost-effective completion of project.
- Assures all employees within the team know and follow the company safety and work rules and policies.
- Ensure that all employees within the department receive the proper training required for them tooperatethe machines they will be working on.
- Assigns work and monitors job costs and overall performance, including monthly forecasting.
- Complete written reports on job progress,costand other matters as requested.
- Supports planning on-the-job training for team members to ensure safety and quality of the work being done.
- Constantlymonitorsthe job site for safety and quality of the work.
- Work closely with all areas of the operations to create new opportunities forLoenbro.
- Review and provide feedback onoverallproject schedule, working with Project Engineer to update and distribute to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to produce a cost-based estimate forRequest for Proposals (RFP’s)that are sent toLoenbro.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Experience withHeavy Construction Software Solutions (HCSS)Heavy Job or similar job costing program.
- Experience withPrimaveraP6 or similar scheduling software.
- Experience with Viewpoint or similar account software.
- Experience with Heavy Bid or similar estimating software.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
Education and Experience
- 8+years of experience inconstruction of industrial& Commercialprojectsis required.
- 5+years of experience as aGeneral Superintendentoverseeing multiple craft tradesis required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred:
- Applicants with aBachelor’s degreeinEngineering or Construction Managementare encouraged to apply.
- Applicants withcompletion of OSHA or equivalent safety trainingare encouraged to apply.

Work Environment:
Ability to travel at least 75% of the time.
Potential Hazards
- Outside most of the time.
- Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.

- Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
- Limited working surfaces.
- Exposure tonoise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
- Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
Essential Requirements
- Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
- Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks
- Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following:
- Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day.
- Standing.
- Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
- use of respirator if position requires.
- Driving ifrequiredto travel.
- If driving isrequired, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability arerequired. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
