Summary

The General Superintendent directly and through subordinate Superintendents, oversees profitable installation of project work by directing co-workers and interfacing, coordinating and directing other trades. Responsible for water/wastewater treatment construction for large project or multiple mid‑sized projects. Responsible for safety, planning, cost and productivity, while perpetuating and SQP culture. Responsible for high level client relationship through professional conduct.

Roles and Responsibilities

The General Superintendent will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, high quality and productive (SQP) manner. Note that the areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by co-workers assigned to this role.   • Plan and supervise field crews and teams including logistics, manpower, equipment, materials, schedules and daily work plans.
  • Coordinates and executes work.
  • Promotes client and industry relations.
  • Directs and oversees staff.
  • Promotes and enforces site safety in coordination with the safety department.
  • Hold subcontractors accountable to project plans, standards, and commitments.
  • Participates in training and certifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and 15 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform on progressively more complex projects.
