The General Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX, responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on multiple construction projects. This role manages site activities, coordinates subcontractors, and ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include leading field staff, conducting site meetings, monitoring progress, resolving on-site issues, and maintaining clear communication with project managers, clients, and inspectors. The General Superintendent is also accountable for enforcing safety practices, managing logistics, and supporting budget and schedule adherence while representing CMC in a professional manner on the job site.

Qualifications

• Strong field leadership and team management skills, including supervising superintendents, forepersons, and trades on complex projects.
• Proficiency in construction planning, scheduling, and coordination, including reading drawings, sequencing work, and aligning resources.
• Experience implementing and monitoring safety programs, with thorough knowledge of OSHA standards and job site safety best practices.
• Solid understanding of construction means and methods, quality control procedures, and building codes and regulations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project managers, clients, trade partners, and inspectors.
• Ability to use construction management and scheduling software, digital documentation tools, and basic office applications.
• Several years of experience as a Superintendent or junior field leader in commercial or mixed-use construction; ground-up experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is beneficial.
• Proven ability to work on‑site full time in Dallas, TX, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
