Role Description

The General Practitioner role at International SOS is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi. The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care services, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for a wide range of medical conditions. Daily responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and managing acute and chronic illnesses in alignment with clinical guidelines. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records, coordinating care with specialists and other healthcare professionals, and supporting health promotion, disease prevention, and workplace wellbeing initiatives. The General Practitioner will contribute to emergency response, triage, and stabilization of patients when required, ensuring high-quality, ethical, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

MBBS

• from an accredited institution and completion of residency in family medicine, internal medicine, or a related primary care specialty.
• Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice as a General Practitioner in the relevant jurisdiction, with board certification or eligibility preferred.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of both acute and chronic conditions.
• Experience in emergency and urgent care, including triage, stabilization, and coordination of referrals to higher levels of care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patients, colleagues, and client organizations.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate electronic medical records, documentation, and compliance with clinical and organizational protocols.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and adherence to medical ethics and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site clinical setting, with flexibility to respond to changing operational needs.
• Experience in occupational health, travel medicine, or corporate healthcare environments is an advantage.
• Basic proficiency with digital health tools and telemedicine platforms is beneficial.
