Providence is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered General Pediatrician to join the team in Anchorage, Alaska. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This physician will play a vital role in promoting healthy growth and development, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care for patients from birth through adolescence
* Perform well-child examinations and developmental screenings
* Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions
* Administer and counsel patients and families regarding immunizations and preventive care
* Collaborate with specialists, care coordinators, behavioral health providers, and community resources to ensure high-quality patient care
* Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, nutrition, and safety
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), Epic
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings
* Support organizational goals related to patient experience, quality, and access
Qualifications
Required:
* MD or DO from an accredited medical school
* Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
* Eligible for medical licensure in Alaska
* Current DEA certification and BLS/PALS certification (or ability to obtain)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
* Experience in outpatient general pediatrics
* Experience working in a team-based care environment
* Interest in quality improvement, population health, and preventive care
* Experience caring for diverse and underserved populations
